AWWOA virtual classroom courses are approved for a range of 0.6 to 1.2 CEUs. Registrants must attend ALL session days required to receive CEUs. Attendance is monitored for the duration of each session through our meeting software.

Entry Level Training (1.2 CEUs)

This three-part virtual training course will provide entry-level water and wastewater operators with an overview of the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities, and the distribution and collection systems for these facilities. It is designed to familiarize entry-level operators with the critical aspects of the water and wastewater industry each operator should understand.

NOTE: The course satisfies the Alberta Environment minimum training requirement for operators becoming certified for the first time. This training covers basic aspects of the industry - it has not been specifically developed to prepare an operator to write a certification exam.
