Description

This course is available in three formats: online, in-class or home study.

The one day in-class course is designed to assist the operator with the operation and maintenance of small water treatment and water distribution systems. It is an introductory course intended for operators of Class I facilities employed in municipalities with a population up to 500.

COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE IS ONLY ONE PART OF THE PREREQUISITE FOR SMALL SYSTEM CERTIFICATION. Alberta Environment administers a separate Small Water System Operator Certification Exam.

NOTE: Applicants who wish to write the certification exam must qualify and MUST apply to Alberta Environment prior to the deadline for their preferred exam. To qualify, successful completion of this course must be achieved by the certification exam application deadline date and the course completion certificate must be attached to the application.
