Operation and Maintenance for Membrane Systems in Water Treatment

CEUs

0.6 CEUs

Description

*NEW COURSE*

Membrane systems are widely used in water treatment to separate contaminants from water using semipermeable membranes. These systems are effective in removing impurities making them essential in producing clean water for drinking.

This one-day course will provide operators with the basic understanding of the membrane process and how that applies in water treatment.  It will also review the fundamentals of membrane system modes of operation and cycles as well as what is required to maintain system components.  Operators will be able to recognize the most likely causes of membrane fouling and apply cleaning techniques.  The last topic will cover monitoring of membrane system performance and troubleshooting issues.

The CEUs from this course can be used toward the following discipline(s) for certification renewal:

  • Water treatment
  • Wastewater treatment
