Flowmeter Fundamentals

CEUs

0.6 CEUs

Description

This course is available in two formats: virtual classroom (2 days) or in-person.

Virtual Classroom - Students will have the opportunity to learn online directly from an instructor. Each offering will be held over two days from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm (includes breaks). Attendance is required for each session to earn CEUs and will be monitored through our online software - GoToMeeting. If choosing this option registrants must have the following: strong, reliable internet connection, desktop or laptop device with a microphone AND web camera. Works best on Google Chrome web browser.

The course provides water and wastewater operators with an understanding of the different types of flow meters typically used to measure flow of water, sludge, air or biogas. For each measuring technology, the training will focus on the principles of operation, typical use cases in water or wastewater treatment plant, troubleshooting basics, installation influences, handling error codes and possible process issues and challenges.

Also covered will be how pressure and temperature can influence the flow measurement of air and gasses as well as the fundamental differences between verification, calibration and validation of instruments to help participants understand how this applies to their operations.

It is presented by Endress+Hauser, a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering.

The CEUs from this course can be used toward the following discipline(s) for certification renewal:

• Water treatment
• Water distribution
• Wastewater treatment
• Wastewater collection
