0.3 CEUs
Description
Many communities have failing wastewater treatment infrastructure and are struggling to use their limited funds as effectively as possible. In this workshop, the wastewater treatment process will be examined for both mechanical wastewater facilities and lagoons.
This will include:
- Receiving Water Body Studies: These studies examine the effluent quality limits that need to be achieved throughout the treatment process. An overview of how these studies are performed and the information they provide will be reviewed.
- Upgrades to Mechanical WWTPs: Insights into upgrades at mechanical WWTP’s will be provided, including meeting stringent limits and lessons learned.
- Upgrades to Lagoons: Options to improve a lagoon’s performance will be reviewed, including aeration, expansion and innovative technologies.
- Operational Considerations
The session will end with a panel, where attendees can ask questions specific to their systems.
Presenter(s): Sarah Bruce, Rudy Chan, Daniel du Toit and Kia Barrow, Associated Engineering
