Wastewater Disinfection for Operators

CEUs

0.6 CEUs

Description

This one day course has been prepared to teach operators about wastewater collection systems. It will enable participants to identify sanitary sewer components, describe wastewater collection pipe and installation methods, explain lift station construction and operation, understand wastewater pump and motor characteristics, perform wastewater collection analytical calculations, know hydraulic and mechanical sewer cleaning methods, develop a sewer main rehabilitation program and follow wastewater collection safety procedures.

Improvements in technology and shifting regulatory requirements have led municipalities to stray from traditional chemical treatment methods. As new methods are adopted it is important for Operators to understand the factors that support effective disinfection.
