2019 - Pre-Seminar Workshop #1 - Simplification of Lagoon Treatment and Sludge Management for Increased Contaminant and Pathogen Reduction

CEUs

Description

This workshop will highlight some key considerations to keep in mind when upgrading an aging lagoon, and will help operators understand how to choose simple and cost-effective solutions for increased capacity.
In particular, the workshop will focus on enhanced biological treatment methods (fixed-film technologies) and how to understand the science behind emerging biological systems.
The workshop will use the BioCord Reactor as an example to demonstrate how operators can determine when and where in the process flow a fixed-film technology should be installed, what kind of maintenance to expect, crucial data they should be collecting from their lagoons, and key factors to look for when choosing any biofilm technology as a lagoon upgrade.

Presented by:
Christine Gan and Mike Bossy, Bishop Water Technologies
Don Burgess, DWG Process Supply Ltd.
