2017 Water Week #6 - Environmental Compliance

CEUs

0.6 CEUs

Description

This module introduces operators to the processes and requirements for meeting environmental compliance. The quality of the wastewater released into Alberta lakes and waterways can have a direct and immediate impact on the environment. So your work as a wastewater operator plays an important role in protecting our natural environment. But your role does not have to be a solitary one.

Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) is not only the monitoring and policy facilities for compliance with their Approvals to Operate and Code of Practices. AEP is also available for abatement and working with wastewater treatment facilities and operators to prevent environmental incidents and improve our processes and decrease our impact on the environment.
