Water Innovation Program Offers $10M in Funding

The Water Innovation Program, from Alberta Innovates has opened a Call for Proposals, seeking innovative knowledge generation and technology development projects that address Alberta’s water challenges.

Call for Proposals

The Call for Expressions of Interest (Call) is inviting project proposals to be evaluated in a competitive funding process. The process is divided into two stages:

  1. The Expression of Interest (EOI) stage
  2. Full Project Proposal (FPP) stage

Project Location: All projects supported through this Call must demonstrate a clear and justified value proposition for addressing water challenges in Alberta.

Eligibility: The Call is open to all categories of lead applicant, including technology developers, industry, industrial associations, small and medium-sized enterprises, R&D organizations, universities, municipalities, not-for-profit organizations, government research labs, and individuals.

How Funding Works: The total funding available is up to $10 million Canadian Dollars ($CAD), while the maximum funding for any one project is $750,000 CAD.

  • Submission Deadline: Friday, September 28, 2018 at 3:00 Pm Mountain Daylight Time. All required content is to be submitted via e-mail to WIP-2018-OpenCall@albertainnovates.ca.
  • Submission Content: Expression of Interest Document and Letters of Support (optional)
